I upgraded my factory 900lbs of ballast to about 2800lb total in bags.
The factory W711 bow bag was removed and replaced with wakemakers 50 x 25 x 15 x 8 dual bow bags. I figured the factory bag only held about 300 due to compartment restrictions. These bags sit back further to fill fuller. Custom storage covers were made.
The aft 250lb hard tanks were pulled out, batteries moved aft of the engine on a laminated sheet of plywood. This allowed the locker walls to move aft for max ballast. I ordered custom 1165lb bags from wakemakers. These run up to just aft of the cup holders so I still have full under seat storage. They fill to at least 90% full. Speaker protectors were made from 6" pvc caps.
A side benefit, this project allowed for much easier access to the engine and transom. I had a leaking swim platform bracket that would have required the hard tanks to be removed to service.
Bow bags were $282 and custom bags were $1014 plus fittings.
