Sweet documentation and result. Makes those high school chemistry classes seem worthwhile. So the heater hoses can be retracted for storage extended to the shivering passengers?

Yep they tuck into the housings and extend out 6 feet. Good for shoving up your pants legs when you get out of the cold water lol

I was really surprised how many spots of the floor were uneven, the hatch area in particular! The thin trim pieces were the only way to clean up the edges and not create a bump you would feel.

The GatorStep was right around $950.

That's about what i expected, not terrible.

Yeah the tige floors of the era are bad. Mine was the same. I just cleaned it up and dumped a couple gallons of epoxy over the whole thing to get it nice and level.

good call--i'm likely having the downpipe welded on rather than using a rubber hose to join it to the exhaust tip for extra reinforcement, so through bolts will make it stronger.  i'll also add another support either to the trim tab actuator mounting location or to the platform mounts.

Sounds like you've got it covered!

FAE has had a lot of failing welds lately on the stock Moomba pipes, If I were doing a single exit I would likely gusset it or attach it to the platform etc to take some force off the weld.

    My kit came with 101XDS...

I'm having hell getting things setup to my liking on this '05 VLX hull - really wish I had gotten (and used) the spacer instead of trimming the hinge.  I'm sure once I get the mounting locations dialed in i'll progress quicker - I need another set of hands to help (the tabs are bulky/heavy), so going to pause for now until my son can come help.

Grab some rope and tie to tab to the lifting eyes on each side. That's how I got mine setup. Finding the actuator mount position is the hardest part of the whole thing haha

What does the Center tab do for  your wake in different scenarios? Speeds? Water sports?

the center tab basically lift the rear of the boat out of the water, so the more deployed it is the smaller the wake is.
For wakeboarding you want it up so you've got more boat in the water (more displacement = larger wake) and for skiing you want it down to lift the rear of the boat and get less displacement for a smaller wake.
For surfing you can adjust it to clean up the wave for different ballast levels.
You can also use it to fine tune the wake, small adjustments can clean up the lip or flatten the top etc.

helps keep the boat on plane with ballast too, you can put the tab down to offset some of the ballast weight.

I honestly don't know why all inboards don't have an adjustable center tab, it's very useful.

You guys are right.  Its the same swivel on both sides which cause the look to be different on the top. I guess at the end of the day , they work great. I will stop being so picky. Thanks for everyones  imput.....this why i joined !!

It just saves having to make the same part as mirror images. Probably one of the reasons their stuff is reasonably priced compared to some other companies.
    They looks great.

For your down exhaust: Could you use 45 degree angled to bypass brackets diagonally? Also you could by some silver shiny spray paint to give it that metal look.

Besides bringing the bow down and bringing the boat on plane faster Does your center plate also lessen your wake? What have you noticed? Not sure what you use your boat for and curious what you noticed before and after the plate. Ive thought about installing a center tab/plate that raises and lowers by switch so lessen my wake for waterskiing when not surfing or wboarding

My (and all) Tige has a center plate with an actuator. It make a large difference for getting on plane quickly when deployed and is useful to fine tune the wake as well.

Looks nice. The bags get one line to the reversible  pumps for water, what does the other line off the bag do in your setup? Do you have them daisy chained to other bags besides the stern compartments bags?

It looks to be an overflow/vent. I run the same.

  9. Honestly I'm surprised I don't see more of the high end boats with a teak deck and accents. It certainly has a higher end feel IMO than foam.

My guess is it's maintenance. People dropping 150K on their boat don't want to have to oil anything (even the engine, they pay 900 bucks for that oil and impeller change lol)
