    More information about "Custom HDPE surf platform"
    Another custom surf platform build. Target was to raise it a bit and make it narrrower to clear the wave. Started with 1inch thick HDPE, heard people reporting some warping after a season. Reinforced with 1in x 2in strips screwed from underneath, providing a surface to grip on when in the water. Added a 1in block under the bracket area to raise platform. Since nothing sticks to PE, went all-in with roughening the surface with 80grit sandpaper, flame treating the surface, spaying a coat of Gorilla adhesive, before applying the EVA foam.
