  1. The HDPE is a little soft. Hand screw only if you don't it will pucker other than that. yes!!!! way more durable. Thank you for the kind words.
  2. After a fresh install of the MC1. I needed to do something with the dash. I tried the carbon rap stuff. wasn't coming out the way I wanted. The plastic that houses all the gauges was in bad shape, and also so was the key/horn plastic. Here is the rap I wasn't happy with Pulled all the gauges Went and got some HDPE. Time to go see "Sonicjk...." the guy you all know ( if you don't) hang out here... you will. He has all the cool tools AND knows how to use them .cool Little viideo. WJSE7198.mov Just got to slowly heat it up with a heat gun bend it to shape This was 3/4 inch HDPE. I tooK a router to the back around the edge to give it the appearance that it is 3/16 Test fit done let it cool down over night. Now off to the hydro dipper I Know nothing is suppose to stick to HDPE but the guys at BAG R BUCK assured me they deal with all types plastic and it is not a problem Black carbon over Metallic silver is the choice for the dash stuff. For anything stereo Hear No,See No, Speak No Evil SKULLS over same Metallic silver. here they are over a Gold Back from Hydro. also went with a High Gloss over It all. thinking it might go more mat finish over time. That hasn't happened yet still look new 2 years later. Back on the boat There was a lot more to this project, I didn't really talk about. Just cleaning up all the rats nest wiring was a PITA!!!!! it was worth it all. Thanks to @SONICJK for CNC file and cutting really helped not to mention so cool to just go the shop....( Like a kid in the candy store)... and, To Bag R buck Customs. The guys there know their stuff. about plastic.
  3. This is a project I did a few years ago. 2017 Helped a buddy do his last year and got a few pics of how it works. I did this project to keep My lily behind My boat. Also it gives it a lot more stability. Keeps the little ones close. Just in case. I bought 2 boat cover vents. Inset the nut part into teak I did leave the wing handles so it would not spin. Then drilled holes in the Lilly. The plastic bolt/washer needed a handle of some type.I had some Thule handles lying around the garage drilled the bolt/washer dropped the nut inside and tighten it all up. Now they DO NOT FLOAT!!!!! so tethering them to the lily is a must. A bungie on a fishing pole "ring tether" fit perfectly. Since our platforms are the same... We did the the spacing the same so his Lily will fit on my boat and mine on his. Set up is easy push the lily under the platform line the holes up with your fingers put the plastic bolt in each side. I say it is easy. the hard part is keeping the kids at bay while you get it mounted. LOL The cost of the cover vents about $15 each. I didn't use the center part that grabs the material. Thule handles mounted This nut is set in the teak. little epoxy to keep it from rattling around in there. Belly up!!!! I don't Know all these kids. That is Wakefest for ya ( only one I know in the pic it the lady in the hat) LOL You build it they will come. Boat cover vent.
  4. That turned out excellent!!!! It is amazing what a little spit shine will do to a old boat. I also would have thought It would have costed more. At least Malibu used aluminum mine were all plastic.
  5. Nice job on the trailer. I Need to do something with mine someday. They don't always get the love they deserve.
  6. Thanks @Rugger I can't say it is my design I copied mostly new Tige boats. Just sat on a 2021 and thought I could use a set of these. they worked flawlessly all weekend and not sure how I got along without them this long. As we watched the G Kids play my wife looks over at me and sad " I didn't know we needed these till now" They are a great addition to the boat. and I highly recommend them. Thanks for the link..
  7. @SONICJKThank you. it wasn't hard just time consuming. Just when you think there's nothing left to upgrade. You can always find something. The company that I got the vinyl stoped making that color. I got lucky to find some. That was harder work than the entire project.
  8. I wanted to make the sundeck a little more modern. A friends 2021 Tige has pop up seats and I was thinking how nice it would be to have a back rest while grilling on the boat, or just watching the kids play. I started with 2 sheets of HDPE one 3/4 one 3/8 I don't have a fancy CNC just a good old fashion router and jigs. I added tape to the originals while on the boat so I could line them up while tracing them on the new 3/4 HDPE cut out the 3/8 for legs and the top. I glued and nailed them together. I sanded the surface used PVC purple primer and Heavy PVC glue with a crap ton of clamps and 23 Ga stainless nails. before I cover them I will add a few screws. 1/2 inch stainless steel . I got lucky and Home Depo had SS hinges I cut them to fit. Test fit went well but there is some sag causing the seat backs to overlap when lifted.. There is to much sag to lift all 3 at this point.I have a plan to fix it. tI I got the vinyl on and look Popup seats!!! I This is how I fixed the sag problem. The doors land on the 4 inch aluminum Chanel. I guess I have a few more things to go to the powder coat guy.LOL I did put hide strip on the hatch. When I saw this pic realized I must have forgot it. . project now has the finishing touches this is the piece that holds the seat down in the stowed potion so they don't come up while driving .took some phone calls to figure out what these were called.here is the part number.
  9. Up Date.... High wind advisory...The wind poped off at 25 mph last weekend got my Buddys cove cover broke one pole and split one of mine down the middle. I guess we now know the wind rating. LOL under 10 mph. I just thought I would share. both have been repaired. no harm no fowl.

    Surf Tabs AND Gates

I would love to play with this. Great job. The combo are almost endless. It would take me 100s of hours to find the dial in. I think I would start fat even both sides gate 100% add tab as needed. then 90% then 80% then switch to tab fully and add gate as needed It wouldn't surprise me if it turn out to be 60% gate 40% tab. that is my prediction LOL Kinda what NSS is 60% out the side 40% down. this is truly awesome Again great job!!!!!!!
  11. @CUCVthey are 3/8 .371 how long? I would have to measure thinking 11-12 foot. I just kept adding till they the arch got close to the back of the transom. I had 4 tents that I don't use any more so there were no shortage of poles or hardware. LOL I did use compressed air to blow the bungee line through. We had to add a piece of line to mikes his is longer than mine.
  12. I thought for 40 bucks why not. The new boats charge $1300 For a version you craw under. No thanks. I might re-sew the top this winter. My friends turned out better than mine. (was my second sewing job) can't have that. lol..... thinking of sewing in the first responders flag. In the next one. or maybe if Wake Garage comes out with a flag. that would be the coolest.
  13. Some of the new boats can be ordered with cove covers. I saw one a few weeks ago and the owners guests were crawling in and out of the boat. (actually hands and knees) I thought it was a cool idea but there has to be a better way. This is my best attempt at sewing (first time ever) You can walk under . Wind will blow it down a little. I have already built another for a friend. It dose fold up and goes in a bag about 18" long 2 1/2 round 1/2 inch copper tubing zip tied to tower. Receiver stays on the tower. Old tent poles I think I added 5 sections to make it really long 4 yards of flag material rip stop type $38.00 bucks A few tent clips off a old tent 10 I think and a rope ratchet 4 for 10 rain fly bungee and hooks The frame tent poles (old tent) Pin the fabric template. just some tyvec I marked where the tent pole was and carefully slid it out then shrunk that line by 2 inches each side. or all the way around. Pin all the tent clips where I wanted them. After shrink the template. went and cut the flag material. started sewing Breaks down into a small bag The Receivers made from a Kreg tract and some round tubing. some 1/4 20 bolts and we should be good to go. Finally got the receivers painted and on.
  14. Nice job looks factory!!! The spring pin is the factory touch.
  15. Do the posts dragging in the water make any spray or line the surf wave any?
  16. Dammit!!!! I just bought one last week. but thats ok I don't have Facebook. Here is a pic of my boat anyway 2000 Tige 21 V. The Smart Wheel Good luck to everyone else.
